    Council outlines Saudi Arabia’s new Hajj regulations as accredited agents coordinate to improve services for Kenyan pilgrims

    NAIROBI, Kenya – Preparations for Hajj 2027 (1448 AH) have intensified after the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM) convened a high-level consultative meeting with licensed Hajj agents to strengthen coordination, improve service delivery and ensure Kenyan pilgrims are fully prepared for the annual pilgrimage.

    The meeting, chaired by SUPKEM National Chairman Alhajj Hassan Ole Naado, brought together certified Hajj operators to discuss key reforms introduced by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ahead of the 2027 Hajj season.

    Among the issues discussed were the Kingdom’s new accommodation classification system, revised operational requirements and strict compliance with official Hajj timelines.

    Addressing the meeting, Alhajj Hassan Ole Naado emphasized the importance of early planning, collaboration and strict adherence to the new regulations to guarantee a smooth and well-coordinated pilgrimage for Kenyan pilgrims.

    “Unity, proper planning and close coordination among accredited Hajj agents are essential to ensuring every stage of the pilgrimage is managed efficiently and in full compliance with Saudi regulations,” he said.

    The consultative meeting also explored practical measures to strengthen coordination under the Kenya Hajj Mission, particularly in accommodation planning, logistics and operational management.

    The discussions focused on improving the overall pilgrimage experience by ensuring better organization, enhanced communication and timely implementation of all Hajj requirements.

    SUPKEM Secretary-General Sheikh Abdullahi Salat Omar reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to working closely with licensed Hajj agents to uphold professionalism, transparency and high standards of service delivery.

    He said the partnership between SUPKEM and accredited Hajj operators remains critical in ensuring Kenyan pilgrims receive quality services throughout their spiritual journey.

    Also present at the meeting was SUPKEM National Treasurer Alhajj Omar Khamis.

    The consultative forum forms part of SUPKEM’s ongoing preparations for Hajj 2027 (1448 AH) as the Council works with stakeholders to align Kenya’s Hajj arrangements with Saudi Arabia’s updated operational framework.
