Garissa High School has confirmed its readiness to admit its first cohort of Grade 10 learners following the official rollout of Senior School under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
The school is set to enroll at least 650 learners. According to Chief Principal Mohamud Mohamed Dubat, the majority of the students, approximately 60 percent, will join the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) pathway. About 25 percent will be placed in the Social Sciences pathway, while the remaining 15 percent will pursue Arts and Sports.
Speaking during the ongoing admission exercise, Dubat assured parents and guardians that the institution has made adequate preparations to support the new CBC structure. He noted that the school has invested in the necessary infrastructure, systems, and qualified teaching staff to effectively deliver all the pathways.
The principal emphasized that Garissa High School is committed to nurturing learners based on their individual talents, interests, and career aspirations, in line with the goals of the Competency-Based Curriculum.
